Pizza

I don't have too much to say or time to post but I wanted to wish everyone a good and positive Shabbos. I spent much of the evening cleaning the house in order to avoid eating it. It worked! I know that it works that when all you can think about is food but you chose to find something to do instead then the urge for food will often go away. I am lucky that housekeeping is my medium because even if I don't lose weight, the house will be clean.
Wishing you a healthy Shabbos and a Motzaei Shabbos where you are actually hungry for the pizza. Go for it! I say if you made it through Shabbos and are actually hungry after you deserve the pizza.

I love that you clean instead of eat, but my problem is that when I am hungry I am also usually tired. We had our holiday party yesterday and the food was all fried but none of it was kosher so yay! But, I did have 2 alcoholic beverages along with my 12 diet Cokes so then I felt the need to buy some nosh for the train ride home because I was slightly tipsy. But then I did eat chicken on the Foreman for dinner, so I don't know...

Anyway, looking forward to a healthy Shabbas. I have found that since I've been eating less, I feel better on Saturday night and Sunday.

I'm actually usually famished on Sat night, b/c I don't eat a ton at lunch and that is usually all I've eaten all day. By the time I wake up from my (post) Shabbos nap at like 6:30/7 I haven't eaten in 4 or 5 hours and I'm starving. That is why I've started trying to eat a regular old healthy sensible dinner on Sat nights (a salad with tuna and shredded cheese) before I go out to do anything.

Whenever I find myself hungry, I eat veggies. That is the way to go. Also, the biggest appetite reducer I know of is exercise. I'm never hungry after I workout.

I just want to send a shout-out to my fellow loyal posters SaraK and Siggy. Without the 3 of us, SK would be so lonely....:)

hey Sarah,
sounds like you are really doing great on your journey!! I am pretty much hopeless for now. I have been reading anyway in hopes of some serious motivation to come my way. Unfortunately we have something on every night this week of chanukah and i have less time to hit the gym rrrrrrrrrrrr. All I can hope for is a miracle of my own!! Good luck this week!
